Looking for a first skateboard for my 8 year old son. Would you recommend one cruzer over another? We have 2 skate parks near by. Thank you

If he's going to be riding it at the skatepark I would suggest a cruiser that is versatile for tricks as well as transportation/cruising.

The Roskopp Face and the Jessee Sun God would work great.
And out of the 2 I'd say the Sun God would be great for an 8 year old because it is a bit shorter.

can you buy a regular skateboard and put cruiser wheels on them?

Yes. Just make sure if the wheels are big that you have the riser pads so you don't get wheel bite.

Sick board for rough terrain cruzin! The knobby wheels rumble on concrete and the wide trucks provide plenty of stability. Maybe not your daily driver but a great board to have on hand for special occasions.
