I ve been skating for twenty years now,I ve just got a new deck a 8.6 from anti-hero,these will fit purfect.I ve looked into 159 ,but I ve always riden with bolts going in instead of out ,you just have a better toe response.Just more precise in general.

Will 149s fit a 8.8" wide board or will they be to narrow?

Nope. 139's are 8 and 149's are 8.5

Most folks who ride 8.25 ride 139's.
