Got 215 trucks. Have 66mm wheels. Using to skate bowls. What size riser do you recommend? Thank you
NHS Fun Factory replied
3/8 of risers should be enough for 66mm. 1/4" risers plus 1/8" to make 3/8. You might be able to get away with just 1/4 depending on how loose/tight you ride them.

1/8" = 3.175 mm

For Independent trucks we suggest risers for any wheels bigger than 56mm (or 54mm if the baseplate is forged, 52mm for Lows)

I have some 215's on some 58 mm wheels, what size rizer pads would be best for proper PRPOPER,t

ing transiti

ons and street from getting wheel bite as often, thanks for your time please help me out, i appreciate it. Also i want to move up to some 60 mm on my 215's what size rizers would you recommend for those or would they both have the same proper clearnace
NHS Fun Factory replied
For 58mm we suggest 1/8 risers.

For 60mm wheels we usually suggest around 1/4 which is plenty. That is what we put on our cruzers with 60mm wheels.

1/8 and shock pads will work for 60mm as well. That combo is a little less than 1/4 and more than 1/8. Closer to 3/16.

Also, if your trucks are medium tight or tight you might be able to get away with just 1/8.

Personally, I think 1/8 riser plus shock pads is the best fit. Also, you get the vibration reducing benefit of shock pads.

Here's the math behind those suggestions:

On 215's we suggest riser for wheels over 56mm.

1/8 of an inch is about 3mm (3.17 actually)

So for every 3mm or so increase in wheel size add 1/8 in risers.

Oh and don't forget for every riser pad you'll need longer bolts! The average deck is 7/8 thick but it is easiest to just add whatever thickness of risers to length of bolt.

7 ply deck: 7/8 or 1" hardware
deck + 1/8 riser: 1.25 hardware
deck + 1/4 riser: 1.25 hardware
deck + 1/2 riser: 1.5" hardware

love the shape of the hanger. do these come in a 149 size?
my board normally 9" can these work with out the wheels poking out?
NHS Fun Factory replied
The shape of the 149 hanger is a little different.

These trucks are 10 inches wide. They will definitely stick out on a 9 inch board.
